The concept automotive for the brand new Chevy Camaro rush onto the auto-show circuit many years ago and also got immediate critical acclaim. After having a very long wait, the 2010 Chevy Camaro is here now, and also fortunately very little has modified on the styling front.
The brand new Chevy Camaro, which comes in V-6-powered LS along with LT trims, together with the V-8-powered SS, hits a second to none stability between retro styling cues and modern day components. Car and Driver are praising the 2010 Chevy Camaro because of its “evocative, modern design” which recalls the actual nameplate’s late-60s honor ages but “fortunately misses becoming completely retro.” Automobile Magazine says that, “out among traffic, the Camaro sticks out,” and not simply because of its unmistakably high in volume exhaust note. In a nod toward Chevy’s many other sportscar, Autoblog points out that “the reverse Mohawk in the roof is meant to tie the car to the twin-cockpit silhouette of the Corvette,” an automobile which additionally adds its V8 engine to the Chevy Camaro SS. All informed, reviewers are hard-pressed to discover anything disappointing in regards to the exterior, and early customer response appears to be really good too.
While Chevy has, by almost all accounts, nailed the exterior style, reviewers are not as satisfied with the interior. Cars.com reviewers discover that the interior “looks more vintage than the exterior,” using a few components which are obviously similar to the 1969 Camaro, and also “the unique center controls may be off-putting for some.” Car and Car owner errors many of the 2010 Chevy Camaro’s ergonomics, claiming that, “as great as the high-mounted squircle-shaped gauges and cool center stack look, the script is tiny and the buttons can be ergonomically challenging in operation.” Several reviewers indicate that the 2010 Chevy Camaro’s interior is quite dark—Autoblog warns that “the high beltline, low roof and black interior don’t let bundles of excess light to play within the cabin,” creating a “somber” environment. Not almost everything about the interior is poor, on the other hand; Automobile Magazine praises the 2010 Chevy Camaro’s device panel, noting that “the gauge and console design is actually clean, stylish, and modern.”

The 2010 Chevy Camaro looks to be like a breath of fresh air in the US automobile industry. With a hurricane of publicity around this model, not the least of which was a staring role in the blockbuster movie “Transformers,” the excitement level is sky high.
Following the trend of car makers looking back to revive popular past models the 2010 Camaro could prove to be the very best of the “Reborn Muscle Car Movement.” Looking at the newest Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger we can see that the public’s appetite for nostalgia is strong. Take that nostalgia and mix in modern technology, higher horsepower, better suspension and vastly improved fuel economy and you’ve got a hit!
A quick look at the initial offering of the new 2010 Camaro model shows that along with the traditional look Chevy is following the classic offering model of a muscle car launch. The 2010 is available in several different variations that differ in appearance, power and price. Chevy has kept its word and kept the production 2010 Camaro very, very close to the concept car that caused such a stir at the 2006 Auto Show. This has kept the Camaro loving public quite happy.
Initially there will be three trim packages, SS, LT and LS, all in a hardtop coupe. Starting out at the base level the LS will be the most affordable version featuring a V-6 producing around 220 horsepower. The LT is the next step up the ladder and will have a beefier 3.5 literV-6 producing a bit more than 300 hp. The monster version is the SS model, with a 6.2 literV-8 pumping out over 400hp. Price ranges are from the low 20′s to the mid 30′s.
A convertible version of the new Fifth Generation Camaro is planned for the early 2010′s as well as a Z28 package. The gear heads out there are drooling on the Z28 as reports show it will have a super-charged 6.2 liter V-8 producing somewhere in the neighborhood of 500hp!
Chevy has packed a few more goodies in the new model as well. As for transmission choices you’ll have an option of a six speed manual or a six speed “TAPshift” automatic tranny. Underneath you’ll see a 4.5 link independent rear suspension to help get that power to the street. Four wheel disc brakes, a choice of 18, 19, or 20 inch wheels, a choice of ten different colors and a lot more.

Once we are utilized by historical past once we have a Chevy Camaro we also have a SS model.
And also the 2010 model is going to be the same. The Camaro SS is going to be released just a couple of months after the standard version will become so popular-so fast. It’ll be a heavy competition for the Ford Mustang Shelby and Dodge Charger SRT8.
The brand new Camaro was introduced to look like a lot to the concept car revealed in Jan at NAIAS, the only difference being the 2010 Camaro won’t be provided in a hardtop version not like the concept Camaro along with the 1969 Camaro. The first generation is considered to start towards the end of 2008, and the automobile is actually supposed to become available in showrooms in the first quarter of 2009.
The concept auto seemed to be 186.2 ins long and applied a 110.5-inch wheelbase. The wheels were concept automobile size achieving 21s at the front and 22s at the rear and where shod with large 275/30 front and 305/30 rear tires, however they won’t make it to manufacturing. The power plant under the bonnet was a 400 bhp LS2 6.-liter V-8 engine mated with a six-speed manual transmission.
At first there were rumours stating that the Camaro SS is going to be powered by a LS6 engine. However the LS6 only generate 405 in the Corvette and the strongest Camaro should have a highest power of 500 hp. This allow us to believe that the Camaro SS is going to be powered by a LS7 engine by having an output of 505 hp. The engine is going to be matted using a six-speed automatic transmission
